Ortiz has a strong background in advocacy and media, having served as a Campaign Communications Strategist and Communications Manager at the ACLU of Arizona, where she worked on key civil liberties issues. She also held the position of Communications Manager at Rural Arizona Engagement/Rural Arizona Action, focusing on rural community outreach and engagement. Before her political career, Ortiz worked as a Multimedia Journalist at KGBT and KTNV, honing her skills in storytelling and public communication. Currently, she serves as the State Representative for District 24 in the Arizona House of Representatives, where she is committed to representing her constituents' interests and advocating for positive change.
