Amy Gatto is a prominent figure in Atlantic County politics, serving as an Atlantic County Commissioner At-Large. First elected to the Hamilton Township Board of Education in 2005 at age 23. She joined the Hamilton Township Committee in 2007 and became the youngest and third woman to serve as Mayor at age 29. Elected to the Atlantic County Board of Chosen Freeholders (now Commissioners) in 2016, 2019, and 2022. She was the first female to chair the board in its 182-year history.
