Amber White is an elected official serving as the Councilmember for Ward 7 in Youngstown, Ohio. She is the first independent in 28 years to hold this office. White is a third-generation resident of the 7th Ward, with her family having migrated from Hungary to Youngstown’s Southside in 1945. She is a business owner, managing home remodeling and restoration, as well as towing and recovery businesses. White is deeply involved in community advocacy, volunteering with local groups such as Little Redman Football, Safe Zones, the Jericho Project, and Green Youngstown. Her interests include youth services, safety, senior care, and economic development. White serves on the City Council's Standing Committees on Public Health and Education
