Alexandra Compere is the current Commissioner for District 2 of the Clay County Commission in Florida. Born and raised in Clay County, she comes from a family with deep agricultural roots, being the granddaughter of sugarcane farmers who migrated from Haiti in the 1980s. Her upbringing instilled in her a strong work ethic and a commitment to community service. Compere pursued her education locally, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of North Florida, followed by a Master’s Degree in Christian Education from North Florida Theological Seminary. She completed her legal education with a Juris Doctor degree from the Florida Coastal School of Law. As an attorney, she has been practicing privately for five years and has demonstrated notable skills in advocacy, having been selected for the Moot Court Honor Board during law school.
