Albert Yasuro Muratsuchi is a Japanese-American attorney and Democratic politician serving in the California State Assembly. Born in 1964, he represents the 66th Assembly District, which includes parts of the South Bay region of Los Angeles, such as Torrance, Manhattan Beach, and Redondo Beach. Muratsuchi has been a member of the California State Assembly since 2016. His academic achievements include a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to his legislative career, Muratsuchi served as a board member of the Torrance Unified School District, a prosecutor, and a Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice.
