Akilah Weber is a dedicated public servant and accomplished physician with a strong background in both medicine and politics. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Xavier University and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Rochester. Dr. Weber has served as an Assemblymember representing District 79 in the California State Assembly, demonstrating her commitment to her community and public health. In her medical career, she has worked as a physician at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and Cook County Hospital. Dr. Weber also served as the Director of the Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology Division at Rady Children’s Hospital. Additionally, she has contributed to academia as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California San Diego and has experience in local government as a La Mesa City Councilmember.
