はじめまして、私たちは「佐倉市教育委員会・O先生過労自死裁判を支援する会」です。

2013年12月27日、佐倉市教育委員会指導課で指導主事として働いていたO先生は、自ら命を絶ちました。

O先生は、1988年に千葉県教育委員会に採用され、3つの中学校（井野中、西の原中、酒々井中）を合わせて計21年間、教諭として理科・学級担任をはじめ、剣道部の顧問を務めました。きめ細かな指導のできる熱血漢として多くの生徒や保護者、同僚から信頼され、慕われる存在でした。2009年、佐倉市に指導主事として採用され、持ち前の明るさと誠実さを発揮して職務に励み、2013年には5人の指導主事を束ねる立場になりました。

しかしＯ先生は、過重な業務を負わされ、上司からの適切なサポートも受けられず、しかも、最も安全配慮を行うべき組織のトップである教育長からパワハラを受けたことで、精神障害を発症し自ら命を絶つまでに追い詰められました。当時、佐倉市の小学校の栄養士であった奥様をはじめ、多感な高校2年のご長女、小学校6年のご長男の喪失感と無念さは計り知れません。

　私たちはこの思いを少しでも癒すとともに、二度と同じようなことが起きないことを願って、この訴訟を支え、公正な審理・判断がなされることを求めて活動してまいります。

ご遺族の都合で氏名を明らかにすることができないため、組織や支援を一気に広げることはできませんが、O先生を慕う教え子や保護者の皆様をはじめ、O先生と共に教育現場で汗を流した教職員の皆様、こうした過労死問題に真剣に取り組んでいる方々と共に手を携えて、取り組んでゆく覚悟ですので、何とぞご支援ご協力をいただけますようお願いいたします。

いただいた署名は、今年7月に千葉地方裁判所に第一弾として提出し、その後、結審するまで逐次提出していく予定です。また、こちらでの署名とは別に、直筆署名も募集しています。二重署名はお控えいただきますようよろしくお願いします。

On December 27, 2013, Mr. O, who worked as a supervisor in the guidance division of Board of Education in Sakura City, took his own life.

Mr. O was hired by the Chiba Prefectural Board of Education in 1988 and taught for a total of 21 years at three junior high schools (Ino Junior High School, Nishinohara Junior High School, and Shisui Junior High School), serving as a science and classroom teacher as well as an advisor for the Kendo Club. He was trusted and admired by many students, parents, and colleagues as a passionate person who could provide detailed education and guidance. In 2009, due to his great potential and previous successes in his work, he was hired by Sakura City as a supervisor. With his natural cheerfulness and sincerity, he worked diligently to fulfill his duties. In 2013, he was in a position to lead five superintendents.

Mr. O developed a mental disorder as a result of being overburdened with excessive workloads, not receiving proper support from his superior, and being subjected to power harassment by the President of the Board of Education - the head of the organization who should be giving the utmost consideration to safety and he was cornered to take his own life. The sense of loss and regret felt by his wife, who was a nutritionist at an elementary school in Sakura City at the time, his eldest daughter, who was in her second year of high school, and his eldest son, who was in his sixth year of elementary school, is immeasurable.

We will continue to support this lawsuit and work for a fair trial and judgment in the hope that this feeling will be healed as much as possible and that cases like this will never happen again.

We cannot reveal his name for the bereaved family's sake, however, we will work hand in hand with his students and guardians who adored him, with the teachers and staff who worked hard with him in the field of education, and with those who are earnestly tackling this critical Japanese issue of death from being overworked. We ask for your signature in support of bringing light to the case and this cause.
