Colorectal cancer is Europe’s second deadliest cancer. For so many of us it has claimed the life of a friend or a loved one. But 90% of patients make a full and rapid recovery - if it’s detected in its early, stage 1 phase. Early detection is so easy. It just takes a really simple screening test you can carry out a home.

So why isn’t every country making the test a priority?

European institutions have set a target to screen 65% of 50 to 75 year olds. Yet only a handful of countries and regions of Europe have managed to get close to that. Those high performing countries and regions proportionately test over four times more over fifties than the rest of us. And save thousands of people.

If every European country hit that screening target, we could save over 100,000 lives a year.
