Petition to Department of Education, Blade Nzimande, Angie Motshekga
Students are already continuing with their academics online... The Minister Of Higher Education Dr Blade Nzimande stated how they are willing to help students with their studies and that students are expected to be home for that period... The problem is students want to go back to their student accommodations in order to continue with their online learning studies. It's an effective way for students because unlike home, students will have their own space to study and will concentrate better... At home, students are living under different circumstances which may lead to them not being able to concentrate. Other students are living in areas which have bad Internet service and they can't attend any online session. Other students are facing challenges in their households for example :Abuse, Noise and other things which negatively affects them academically  We will like the Department Of Higher Education to help students to go back to their student accommodations for better outcomes. Students in that way will be able to have time for their academics.. A lot of students are concerned about their future and a lot are not against this thing of studying online but what's most important to them is the environment which they at. So please help students to return to student accommodations by signing this petition calling on our Minister Of Higher Education Dr Blade Nzimande to his power and intervene... Read more

Petition to Lamar University
the residence halls. Although this can be a wonderful system, there are what students have shared to behalf of the residence student body on the policy that has been recently implemented. This policy is as follows:            - Students who live in one residence hall may not check into another residence hall after 11 pm.    This policy is almost unreasonable in the aspect of attempting to govern university losing money that could have been salvaged.           - Students who check into a residence hallRead more

When a person commits an act of domestic violence and/or abuse, they are let go only to violate once more. The victims are left confused and alone, some may not want to move forward with their stories for fear their abuser will hurt them. It takes so much courage for a victim to go through the due process yet repeat offenders still remain among us and their new victims do not suspect a thing. Children are put in between such brutality but what if they were exposed initially?  I ask that a public mandatory and searchable registry be kept locally and nationally. (.gov web host)  Also, just as sex offenders have to register and make known their presence in any neighborhood, a DV predator should be required to inform everyone within a 500 mile radius of him or her of their presence, at their expense entirely. The offender should have their name in each state and then on a national registry, listing their full name, photo along with dates and descriptions of offenses. Read more

Petition to Mayor Tania Campbell
POOR SERVICE DELIVERY.This petition is made to address several grievances experienced by Clayville West residents, including lack of electricity for more than 3 days every after 1 week, water outages at a regular interval, collection of waste, lack of grass cutting including parks and improper billing. As a community we afraid we cannot take this kind of treatment anymore as it affects us negatively as parents, caregivers and children. From school work being delayed to food being spoiled of which is a disservice to us all. We say, respectfully that our transformers be fixed permanently, our waste be collected on time and having the services we pay for available to us conveniently. We cannot afford to not have electricity as everything including school is done online, we have a Primary school in our area that hasn’t been operational efficiently due to no power/electricity, grass that hasn’t been cut for over 3 months which endangers our kids and money wasted as we throw away our spoiled food or travel more to get more food to serve us for a shorter period. As a resident I believe we should get the service we pay for and such problems be fixed soonerRead more
