Exercising Justice against Acid attacks
We want to eliminate the threat and fear of acid attacks and raise awareness against this foul act. We want to make the world a less malicious place to live in for everyone and offer our support to victims of acid attacks with conviction.

Hobbs City Government, stop extorting lawful pet parent rescuers exercising Natural Rights
I am a single mother with 4 kids. I pay my taxes. I believe in absolute freedom, and take care never to infringe on any persons rights. My mistake, and apparent crime, was taking in 2 abused and abandoned dogs, and one wandering to the sidewalk outside of my fence. She harmed no one, and nothing. Here is my story. I have spent the past couple days in jail because the Constitution of The People has been suspended. I believe Maritime/Admiralty/Equity law has taken its place. I get this indication from the gold fringe and tassels that we mistake as meaningless and pretty decorations. I have not deeply studied Maritime/Admiralty law as of this writing. I know that it is the law of water, and of commerce, and that it secretly affects the people who are charged in the courts in which it stands. I know that it is not a lawful flag of freedom and justice for all. The People are not allowed to use the Constitution in these courts. These Courts are defined as 'Banks' in the legal dictionaries. I assume this law magically gives Government blanket jurisdiction over everything and everybody. I was unexpectedly saddled with 2 homeless American Pitbull Terrier dogs. I was hoping to re-home them but they are still in my possession. I do not believe in the unnecessary murdering of animals, so I did not give them to the local animal shelter. I have some space and they are extra friendly. One dog somehow escaped the back yard and walked around my property to the front sidewalk. She was sitting outside my front fence. The next day, the neighbors told me they saw her sitting there and called the pound. I immediately went to pick her up. The shelter attempted to force me to pay fees which totaled $300. Why? I hadn’t requested services. I stated various violations of Constitutional rights and they told me they’d give her back if I sign a letter promising to spay and vaccinate her. I signed under duress, got my dog, and left. By what authority does Government believe it can force us to bow to Its will?! The next day I received a failure to comply and an order to show cause from the city court clerk. Unless I am a slave, why do I have to comply?! This is a free country, right? The date for me to comply on the shelter documents was not for another 5 weeks. To what am I failing to appear or comply? I began researching my rights. I filed a Motion to Dismiss on Jurisdiction. I received a Failure to Appear Summons. I responded with an Answer questioning Jurisdiction. I received the same Failure to Appear. Again, I responded with a Motion, including an appeal to the Judge to please stick to his Oath. I received a repeat Failure to Appear including an Order and a Motion Denied and a Bench Warrant. I planned to go into the court the next day. Before I could go into court, my house was surrounded by police. I did not run out the front door because I am disabled physically and it takes me a bit to get from one room to another. I guess I took too long and the police were on my deck, threatening to break the door down. They put everyone in handcuffs, including my 2 minor children and a friend who was visiting. They took us to jail but it was only me they booked. The next day I saw the judge, but it was on a monitor from the jail. No witnesses. He immediately recused himself from the case. I learned from another inmate who had just come back from the courtroom that she overheard my judge tell the new judge that he was tired of arguing with me. They should whisper better. When my new judge came on screen, he asked me if I understood the charges against me. I responded ‘NO, I do NOT understand the charges against me, sir.’ He told me that I first needed to plea and then he would explain them to me. When I insisted that I could not enter pleas without understanding the charges, he began entering pleas for me. I respectfully interrupted with ‘Is your Honor practicing law from the bench?’ Judge Arthur completed the entire arraignment on his own, completely ignoring my successively louder objections. He told me I would meet my Public Defender in the morning. I had not asked for a Public Defender. I attempted to tell him I refuse a Public Defender and I could defend myself if he would just uphold the Constitution but the Judge ended the monologue by turning off the monitor. The charges are: Dog License (Unconstitutional) Vaccinations (Unconstitutional) Animal/Dog at Large (Unconstitutional) Resisting Arrest (I took too long to answer the door because I couldn't get me cane from its perch to be able to walk. I have brain tumors and am disabled) Besides, No one is required to open the door to anyone. Especially, and including Police. Expectation of obedience to The State is slavery. And slavery is supposed to be illegal. The Supreme Court has numerous rulings on this. Obedience indicates that you are a slave, or a child. We have a duty to be good to each other. But no competent adult is required to obey anyone. I filed objections the moment I got home from jail. There was no bond, so I had to sit there until he willed me to be free. 2 days. Debtors jails are illegal. At the forced arraignment, the judge gave me a plea deal even though I had not pled, but he had for me, which is illegal and unlawful, unless I am incompetent; and the plea can only be 'Not Guilty' so the Burden of Proof goes on the STATE. The deal is 90 days in jail and $1500 fine! This is America under Gold Fringed Admiralty/Maritime Law. Under Public Policy made by Corporations, not the will of The People. The United States Corporation is NOT a free country. Had the Constitution of We The People been applied, I would not now be a criminal with a record. Please help me establish more Pet Parent friendly laws, tighter holds on Corporations and Government overreach of our rights, and a restriction on Government fundraising via criminalization of our inherent right to life, liberty and property.

My Wife is Imprisoned in Iran - Demand Her Release
Bahareh and I were giddy with excitement that summer day in 2008. Our wedding ceremony was just a day away, but then Iranian authorities raided Bahareh’s house and took her to prison. Since then, we’ve spent just one year together. My wife, Bahareh Hedayat, is a women's rights defender and student activist in Iran, and she has been unjustly imprisoned for almost six years. After her first arrest, Bahareh sent a video message to the European Students’ Union in 2009 where she spoke about injustice and the need for reform in Iran. She was arrested again, and she has been in prison ever since. The European Students' Union nominated Bahareh for its Student Peace Prize in 2010. Bahareh needs your help. Please join me and United for Iran to call on the Iranian authorities to immediately release Bahareh from prison. Bahareh was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison, for allegedly “insulting the Supreme Leader,” “insulting the President,” and “acting against national security.” While in prison in 2011, she was given an extra six months for writing a letter about the conditions of other student activists. Bahareh already had a two-year suspended sentence for participating in a June 2006 demonstration, but it wasn't implemented until August 2015. Now she is serving a 10 year prison sentence, all for her peaceful activism in support of student rights and women’s rights in Iran. Authorities said that Bahareh should have been released this past summer on parole, but instead they kept her in prison and just added two more years to her prison term by applying her suspended sentence. Everyday that Bahareh is in prison, I become more concerned about her physical and mental health. Bahareh has kidney complications and reproductive health issues that have worsened due to harsh prison conditions, and prison life has had a heavy psychological toll on her. Iran has released dozens of political prisoners in recent weeks and I’m hopeful if we act quickly the Iranian authorities will release my wife. All I want is to finally have my wife live with me under the same roof and to see her bright face every morning. Please join me in demanding Bahareh’s immediate and unconditional release. Dismiss the Charges Against My Son Justin Carter - Being Prosecuted For A Facebook Comment
My son, Justin Carter, was arrested on February 14, 2013 (yes, Valentine’s Day) because of a sarcastic comment he posted on Facebook about a computer game which was then taken out of context by a complete stranger! Please sign my petition to help release my son, Justin. My son was in jail for months because we couldn't afford to pay the half million dollar bail money. It took a month before he was even questioned and he spent his 19th birthday behind bars. To this day, Justin has not had a trial. No weapons were found during a search of his apartment, and so we’re really confused and heartbroken that our family is being violated like this. While confined in jail, Justin was assaulted a number of times. He was locked in solitary confinement for months. Justin’s a good kid. He wouldn’t hurt anyone, let alone a child. What I understand happened is that he was in an argument on the League of Legends website, which continued on a Facebook page, and someone on Facebook called him crazy and messed up in the head. So he responded in a sarcastic tone by saying something along the lines of 'Oh ya, I'm real messed up in the head alright, I'ma gonna shoot me up a school full of kids and eat their still beating hearts'. Now anyone that knows me or my kids knows that we write in perfect English, so the bad spelling is not a mistake, it was an attempt to convey, in writing, an uneducated accent as part of the joke. His response may have been in bad taste, but it was written in a non-threatening way that didn’t translate well online. None of his friends or family would even question his intention as anything other than a poor choice of words. Things got out of control, but my son is not a felon and terrorist as he’s currently being charged! The authorities’ over-reaction is ruining Justin’s life. And it’s setting a dangerous example trying to punish kids who often say strange things that I believe are protected under freedom of speech. The justice system’s abuse of Justin is wasting time and money that could otherwise be spent to help people who honestly need it! Thanks to an anonymous donor, Justin is now out on bail bond. I'm happy to have him out right now, but my son is still facing a felony terrorism charge and years in prison if found guilty. I have said all along that his Facebook joke was made in poor taste and understand why it raised some concern, but Justin has no prior record and he was clearly not actually threatening anyone. It has been almost 5 years since Justin's arrest and now all of his appeals for dismissal have been denied. The next step is for the prosecution to set a court date. In the meantime, Justin has been out living his life. He has a good job and a nice apartment and he has been on bond this whole time. He has not committed any crimes, so clearly he is not the crazy terrorist that the police and district attorney tried to label him as. Please sign and share to continue supporting Justin's campaign. We need to make sure he's not labeled as a felony terrorist simply for making a Facebook comment. I hope you will sign this petition. I’d like Justin's case to be dismissed. And I would like a more reasonable law to be put in place so this doesn’t happen to anyone else again. Thank you.

Free Weldon Angelos - 55 years for marijuana
My brother Weldon Angelos, who was on his way to becoming a successful musician--writing and producing songs with artists such as Snoop Dogg and other acclaimed musicians--has been in federal prison for over 12 years. He faces 43 more years. All because he sold small amounts of marijuana and possessed--only possessed, didn't use--a gun at the same time! Even the judge who sentenced Weldon disagreed with the mandatory sentence of 55 years. The father of two young boys and a daughter, Weldon had never before been in trouble with the law. He was convicted when he was 24 years old of selling small amounts of marijuana to a confidential informant three times. The informant, who was a childhood acquaintance of Weldon, testified that a gun was present (never brandished or used) during two of the pot deals, which were friendly encounters in a store parking lot. When the police officers presented a warrant for Weldon's arrest, he consented to a search of his home, where officers found some marijuana and three guns, one in a locked brief case and the other two in a locked safe. The conservative federal judge Paul Cassell, appointed by President George W. Bush, sentenced Weldon to one day in prison on the marijuana charges. But, to the judge's dismay, he had to sentence Weldon to 55 years in prison because Weldon possessed a gun during a drug offense, which was mandatory under federal law, even though Weldon had never before been convicted of a crime. Judge Cassell called the sentence "cruel, unjust, and even irrational," and "one of those rare cases where the system has malfunctioned." Members of Congress have also publicly decried the injustice of Weldon's sentence, including Senators Rand Paul (R- Ky.), Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), Mike Lee (R-Ut.), and Orrin Hatch (R-Ut.), and over 100 former federal prosecutors and judges joined together to challenge Weldon's outrageous sentence. Judge Cassell highlighted that Weldon's sentence is far longer than the sentences received for "child rape (11 years)," "second-degree murder (14 years)," and even "aircraft hijacking (24 years)." Had Weldon been prosecuted in state court, the judge noted, Weldon would have served about 2 years in prison. In 2004, Judge Cassell called upon the President to commute Weldon's unjust sentence. Since then, Senators Mike Lee and Orrin Hatch of Utah, and dozens of prominent celebrities, activists, book authors, legal scholars, business leaders (including Koch Industries), and former elected and appointed government officials have joined Judge Cassell in calling on President Obama to release Weldon from prison. But that hasn't happened yet. After 12 years, Weldon is still in prison. It breaks my heart. My father feared he would die without ever seeing Weldon free from prison. And on January 4, 2015, that's exactly what happen. Our father died without seeing his son free from behind bars. The Constitution provides the President with the power of commutation to reach a humane, merciful, just result. Please help us reach that result by signing and sharing this petition.

Maroon 5: Drop Out of the Super Bowl Halftime Show
Click here to tell the artists to #TakeAKnee during their halftime set in solidarity with Kaepernick. Rihanna has reportedly turned down the opportunity to perform in front of over 100 million people at the 2019 Super Bowl halftime show. Why? She supports Colin Kaepernick, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback who has been exiled from the NFL because of his decision to kneel during the national anthem. Kaepernick risked his career to take a knee for equality, and the NFL punished him for it. Until the league changes their policy and support players’ constitutional right to protest, no artists should agree to work with the NFL. Join me in asking Maroon 5 to drop out of the 2019 Super Bowl halftime show. Rihanna is not the first major artist to turn down the Super Bowl halftime show. Jay-Z turned down a request to perform at the 2017 Super Bowl, and even addressed it in his 2018 song “Apesh*t.” The lyrics say, “I said no to the Super Bowl: you need me, I don't need you. Every night we in the endzone, tell the NFL we in stadiums too," while the music video shows a line of men on one knee. Comedian Amy Schumer has also weighed in, praising Rihanna and encouraging Maroon 5 to follow her lead and step down. Schumer also said that she will refuse to do any commercials that would air during the big game. “Hitting the NFL with the advertisers is the only way to really hurt them," she said. Maroon 5 has made music over the years featuring artists from all genres, including Rihanna, Cardi B and Kendrick Lamar — all of whom have publicly supported Kaepernick in his decision to protest the violent racism sweeping the United States. Maroon 5 must do the same. The band has a chance to stand on the right side of history. If they don’t, they will be remembered for choosing to side with the NFL over its players. The band’s lead singer, Adam Levine, has not shied away from politics in the past. He has been a strong supporter of same sex marriage and LGBT rights. The band even changed the location of a show because the venue supported anti-gay marriage laws. If the band can take a stand for LGBT rights, they should do the same for these players. Colin Kaepernick has sacrificed his NFL career to call out violent racism in America, and players across the country have followed his lead. Rihanna, Jay-Z, Amy Schumer and others have refused to work with the NFL. Maroon 5: Americans look to artists and celebrities as leaders, and you have huge opportunity to use your influence to take a stand. Sign to tell Maroon 5 to drop out of the Super Bowl halftime show in solidarity with Kaepernick and players who #TakeAKnee.
