Fix the flickering bug of the Surface tablets!

Fix the flickering bug of the Surface tablets!

Das Problem

All Microsoft Surface tablets are great products and the community loves them! But there is one problem every single Surface has: Display flickering. Even with auto brightness turned off, the brightness reacts to the content on the display immediately, which causes flickering. Some people may not notice this flickering, especially because it is only obvious in the lowest brightness option. But once you know about it, you even notice it with higher brightness. If you connect the power cord, the problem does not occur for some reason.

You can fix this problem on the Pro versions of the Surface tablets as you are able to configure the drivers with the full version of Windows. However, users of Windows RT tablets are less lucky. They have to wait for a officiall fix. Unfortuneately, Microsoft does not care at the moment. Microsoft knows about the problem about almost 2 years and they did not fix it. They did not respond to the users either apart from saying that they are aware of the problem and working on it. So what can we do?

1. First of all, go to the following link and tell Microsoft about the problem:

answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/surfwinrt-surfgetstart/surface-rt-dynamic-contrast/6aacc12d-63fe-46e9-98db-3be74fdfbd11answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/surfwinrt-surfgetstart/surface-rt-dynamic-contrast/6aacc12d-63fe-46e9-98db-3be74fdfbd11

2. When you do so, please refer to this petition.

3. Share this petition with your friends and the internet!

4. You may write a review about your Surface tablet and thus tell other people about this problem, before they buy it.

Please Microsoft, listen to us, the consumers. We really want to use the Surface tablets, but at the moment, it is just not in our hands. Help us!

It is most likely that the problem is caused by the NVidia graphics chip. There is a feature called "DIDIM" which should save energie but seems to be the problem?
