Update — October 30

Update: I took my ask to Amazon leadership today, October 30. I sent my letter asking Amazon to protect delivery drivers the way first responders are protected — flashing amber lights on delivery vehicles, and support for adding delivery drivers to Missouri's Move Over law, so drivers must change lanes or slow down for a stopped delivery vehicle with its lights flashing.
Alderwoman Pamela Boyd of St. Louis (Ward 13) has also reached out to Missouri legislators about state-level Move Over legislation.
Byron C. Carter was charged — not convicted — and the plea hearing is February 4, 2027. I am still asking for no leniency, and for protection so no other driver is left in the road.
Over 160 people have signed my petition. Help me reach 200: https://www.change.org/p/wjad-no-leniency-for-the-driver-who-left-william-johnson-in-the-street
