Over 5,000 people signed the petition to the U.S. Senate to declare March 6 World Lymphedema Day. On March 3, thanks your efforts and the backing of Senators Charles Schumer and Chuck Grassley, the U.S. Senate unanimously declared March 6 World Lymphedema Day. The effort was echoed in government bodies around country and around the world.
Now, we are asking the U.S. Senate for $70 million in NIH funding and petitioning the World Health Organization to make "Lymphedema: Awareness & Cures" its 2018 World Health Day campaign.
Click the link below to watch the moment you made history at the U.S. Senate, and to get more information on how you can be part of the movement to fight lymphedema and lymphatic diseases through education, research, and advocacy.
