Hello Funding Fairness Warriors,

Today is Teal Ribbon Day. Ovarian Cancer Australia is doing a triple donation day drive to raise enough money for just 3 Ovarian Cancer nurses. You can donate here -> https://www.charidy.com/ovariancancer

We support and applaud the work of fundraising efforts to bring support to our Ovarian Cancer survivors.

Wouldn't it be great if the government were able to take the pressure off our fundraisers by allocating annual funding?

We are asking you to take action today. Email Greg Hunt Now.

Yesterday, the PM Scott Morrison gave an address at the Ovarian Cancer Breakfast at Parliament. (You can read his speech here). He offered no extra funding or support, but suggested that:

"We're all here together to stand in support of those who are fighting this terrible disease and as Meghan put it so well, to hold on to the hope, to keep walking towards the hope. To choose hope over the fear. To choose love over the fear, and allow that love to sustain you. That is the greatest gift we can provide."

Actually, Scott, love isn't enough. Love and hope will not help women like our beautiful Jill and others beat Ovarian Cancer. Consistent government funding for research will.

In Jill Emberson's final week, she sent a letter to Greg Hunt MP asking for annual allocation of $20M for Ovarian Cancer Research. Today on ABC News, Greg declined that request.

Well, you know what Greg? This simply isn't good enough. $20M doesn't even cover it. We are now asking for $50M per year. What about the 4 women diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer today. What about the 1000 + women, like Jill, who die every single year in Australia. #WhatWouldJillSay

We have a letter ready for you to send, via email. It just takes a few clicks.

Email Greg and your local politician now to have your voice heard.

Share our campaign. Talk with your friends, your family, your neighbours, your work colleges, talk to the lady at the checkout! We want a future like that of our Breast Cancer sisters. If diagnosed today, Breast Cancer survivors have only a 9% chance of dying in the next five years. In comparison, Ovarian Cancer is 54% chance. We want better statistics for our women. For our mothers, our wives, our daughters, our sisters.

The politicians know we are here. We are over 54,000 strong right now on this petition. Let's raise the petition to 100,000 so we can present it in parliament. And let's demand funding fairness, together. #PinkMeetsTeal
