Thank you to Kingborugh Council in Tasmania for safeguarding our native wildlife through mandatory cat containment.
Cat owners on ecological hotspot, Bruny Island, must now contain cats on their own property. This augments efforts to eradicate feral cats on the island.
The future of the island’s wildlife, which includes shearwater birds, penguins and eastern quolls is looking brighter thanks to the joint efforts of residents, local Council and cat management organisations.
