I am not a fan of movie critics. I find that I disagree with their opinions more and more as time goes on. Honestly, it's getting to the point where a poor review from movie critics makes me more, not less, inclined to see a movie. I just don't understand how so much weight can be placed on how a certain individual (or individuals) feel about a movie, especially when their opinions are usually SO far off from that of the average movie goer. In my opinion it's comparable to someone eating at a restaurant and then discouraging others from eating there because they were served potatoes and they dislike potatoes. Well, guess what. A lot of people like potatoes. Most people like potatoes. Most people would have loved that restaurant but might not try it out because of that bad review. That's exactly how I feel about King Arthur. A few negative opinions tainted some peoples viewpoints and discouraged them from seeing a really amazing movie that they otherwise might have loved. I think that King Arthur needs a fair shake. The cast was amazing, the directing was incredible, and there is a large enough fan base to support another movie financially. I think a sequel would have a winners start right from the gate. Help me make it happen. Sign and share the petition.
