Dear supporter We hope you will join us today at 10am GMT / 11amCET for our #EUVAT Twitterstorm - we need as many of us as possible to come together in calling for a unilateral suspension of the introduction of the new EU VAT laws for micro businesses and sole traders. Please do not underestimate the impact a Twitterstorm can have. On 25 Nov we held out first Twitterstorm protesting these new regulations in the UK – during which we sent over 20,000 tweets, getting #VATMOSS trending in the UK for over 5 hours, gaining national press coverage and getting us a seat at the table with the UK’s Tax authorities and Treasury. Ultimately our efforts resulted in an about-turn on allowing businesses to keep their VAT exemption thresholds on UK sales – which was a huge win for the campaign.
