The USD345 Board of Education adopted a resolution to separate the name "Seaman" from Fred A. Seaman, former KKK leader (Exalted Cyclops); Topeka, KS, founder of USD345 Seaman Schools. 

While a step in the right direction, this resolution leaves much to be desired. Hatred from the community is seeping into our schools. The USD345 Board of Education must vote to REMOVE the Seaman name from the district, buildings and the bodies and achievements of students and staff. This movement will continue until they send a clear message to the community that they stand with ALL students, not only by supporting equity training and education, but by FULLY separating themselves from the vile Seaman legacy.
