Additional testimonies we’ve recently received shed further light on the grave persecution and imminent danger faced by members of the faith in general within the borders of Turkey.

One of the detained 104 members from Iran, Hamedreza Yousefi, held at the Edirne Deportation Center disclosed in his most recent audio testimony that our detained Iraqi members were threatened with imprisonment for a period of five months and were told that whatever happens to them during that time would be their own fault. They were informed that after five months, they would either have to request deportation themselves or the Turkish authorities would “hand them over to the Iraqi government”.

The Iraqi members explained to them that they had fled their country because their lives were in danger, and they feared being beaten or killed if they returned, especially since their situation had gained media attention. However, the Turkish authorities forcefully took electronic fingerprints from them, shifting the blame onto the Iraqis themselves for any consequences or harm that befalls them during the five-month period.

Hamedreza Yousefi also shares an intriguing detail about their current situation in detention. He relays that they were taken by surprise when all of a sudden they were granted access to a dining hall, which bore resemblance to those typically found in prisons, but were constantly photographed and filmed during mealtime. Following the meal, they were sent to a small football field to play. This gave the impression that it was done more for publicity purposes rather than genuinely addressing their needs. It appears to be an attempt to cover up the brutal conditions they are held in and spread a false narrative about their treatment in the center.

Meanwhile, one of our Iranian members, Mohammed Amin, who is currently held in a removal center in Van, Turkey, has come forward in an audio testimony about the conditions they’re held in inside the camp. Mohammed Amin, along with his brother, was compelled to flee persecution in Iran and escaped to Turkey. However, upon their arrival in Turkey, they were unexpectedly detained and transferred to the Geri Gönderme Merkezi camp (removal center) in Van.

Mohammed Amin vividly describes the camp as resembling a prison rather than a removal center. The detainees are treated as prisoners without any rights afforded to them. They were held under terrible living conditions, with a lack of basic necessities such as hot water for an entire month. Moreover, individuals with amputated toes and fingers are left uncared for, while elderly individuals above the age of 75 are illegally detained in the camp.

In an earnest appeal, Mohammed Amin directly addresses human rights organizations and advocates for religious freedom and implores them to come to the camp to witness the distressing circumstances firsthand and provide assistance. 

This further emphasizes that Turkey is an unsafe place for our members, where they are unable to freely practice their faith due to evident persecution and abuse at the hands of the Turkish authorities.

كشف أحد أعضائنا الإيرانيين المحتجزين ضمن مجموعة الـ ١٠٤، حميد رضا يوسفي، المحتجز في مركز ترحيل أدرنة، في آخر شهادة صوتية، أن أعضاءنا العراقيين المحتجزين تعرضوا للتهديد بالسجن لمدة خمسة أشهر وقيل لهم أن كل ما يحدث لهم خلال تلك الفترة سيكون على مسؤوليتهم هم، وأُبلغوهم أنه بعد خمسة أشهر، سيتعين عليهم إما طلب الترحيل بأنفسهم أو أن السلطات التركية "ستسلمهم إلى الحكومة العراقية"

وأوضح لهم الأعضاء العراقيون أنهم فروا من بلادهم لما فيها من خطر على حياتهم، وأنهم يخشون أن يتعرضوا للضرب أو القتل إذا عادوا، خاصة وأن وضعهم قد جذب اهتمام وسائل الإعلام الآن، لكن السلطات التركية أخذت بصماتهم الإلكترونية بالقوة، وحملت العراقيين أنفسهم مسؤولية أي عواقب أو أذى يلحق بهم خلال فترة الخمسة أشهر

الملفت للنظر أيضاً ما شاركه حميد رضا يوسفي من تفاصيل حول وضعهم الحالي، حيث قال إنهم فوجئوا بالسماح لهم بالدخول إلى قاعة طعام تشبه تلك الموجودة عادة في السجون، ولكن تم تصويرهم وتسجيلهم باستمرار أثناء تناول الطعام، وبعد الوجبة، تم إرسالهم إلى ملعب كرة قدم صغير للعب، مما يشير إلى أن الدافع من وراء ذلك هو الدعاية بدلاً من تلبية احتياجاتهم بشكل حقيقي، يبدو أنها محاولة للتعتيم على الظروف الوحشية التي احتجزوا فيها ونشر رواية كاذبة حول معاملتهم في المركز

على صعيد آخر قدم أحد أعضائنا الإيرانيين، محمد أمين، المحتجز حاليًا في مركز ترحيل في مدينة فان التركية، شهادة صوتية حول ظروف احتجازه داخل المخيم. اضطر محمد أمين وشقيقه إلى الفرار من الاضطهاد في إيران والهرب إلى تركيا، وعند وصولهما إلى تركيا، تم احتجازهما بشكل غير متوقع ونقلهما إلى مركز ترحيل في مدينة فان

يصف محمد أمين المركز بأنه يشبه السجن وليس مركز للترحيل، حيث يتم التعامل مع المعتقلين كسجناء دون منحهم الحقوق الأساسية، تم احتجازهما في ظروف معيشية رهيبة، مع عدم توفير الضروريات الأساسية مثل الماء الساخن لهم لمدة شهر كامل، علاوة على ذلك، يُترك الأفراد الذين بترت أصابعهم دون رعاية، بينما يُحتجز كبار السن الذين تزيد أعمارهم عن ٧٥ عامًا بشكل غير قانوني في المركز

يخاطب محمد أمين منظمات حقوق الإنسان والمدافعين عن حرية الدين بشكل مباشر ويحثهم على القدوم إلى المخيم لمشاهدة الظروف المؤلمة بشكل مباشر وتقديم المساعدة

كل هذا يثبت بشكل واضح أن تركيا مكان غير آمن لأعضائنا، حيث لا يستطيعون ممارسة عقيدتهم بحرية بسبب الاضطهاد الواضح والاعتداءات التي يتعرضون لها على يد السلطات التركية
