Campaign Update – National Trust Response

We’re really encouraged to share that the National Trust has now responded to our road safety campaign regarding White Horse Hill.

Following our email, they have confirmed that they have passed our concerns, along with our petition, directly to their regional office and the management team for our local White Horse Hill for review.

They have advised that these teams are best placed to consider our suggestions regarding access arrangements and engagement with Oxfordshire County Council, and they may contact us directly as discussions progress.

This is another positive step forward and means that the organisations connected with this much-loved site are now part of the conversation.

Our campaign has always been about working constructively with everyone involved to help prevent future tragedies. We are calling for a comprehensive review of the rural roads and junctions around White Horse Hill and the wider area, ensuring they are safe for local residents, visitors, cyclists and motorcyclists alike.
Thank you to everyone who has signed, shared and supported the petition so far. Every signature helps demonstrate the strength of feeling within our community.

If you haven’t already, please consider signing and sharing the petition:

Together, we can continue to encourage a collaborative approach to improving safety on these rural roads.
