In less than a week, more than 1,050 people have signed this petition!

We are incredibly grateful for your support and for taking the time to learn about these families and the broader issues surrounding access to out-of-country medical care.

Many people have told us they had never even heard of Alberta's Out-of-Country Health Services process until now.

The reality is that none of us ever expects to need it.

You never know when you, your child, your spouse, or someone you love may face a catastrophic injury, rare disease or complex medical condition that requires specialized care beyond what is available locally.

This response demonstrates that many Albertans and Canadians are concerned about what happens when patients with catastrophic injuries, rare diseases, or complex medical conditions exhaust available pathways and are left without realistic access to medically recommended treatment.

We will be sharing this growing support with government officials and decision-makers as we continue advocating for compassionate review, meaningful pathways for exceptional cases and modernization of a framework that has not been substantially reviewed in decades.

This issue is not only about Tamara and Myla.

It is about ensuring that Albertans have a compassionate and reasonable pathway when extraordinary medical circumstances arise.

If you believe others should hear these stories, please continue sharing the petition.

Thank you for standing with these families and helping bring attention to an issue that could affect any one of us.

We will continue to provide updates as developments occur.
