We have sent this petition to the Russian Federation Minister of Agriculture and to the office of President Putin with just under 8000 signatures. Today the Russian Awareness Project Team received responses from both offices thanking us for our letter & petition & letting us know that our petition has been registered with the Ministry of Agriculture. And that we should wait for their further responses. Our team would like to show the Minister & the President that our petition has collected over 10,000 signatures by the time we receive their next correspondence. We would greatly appreciate your help in reaching that number by sharing & asking your friends family & colleagues to sign & share the petition as well. Wild captures of orca & beluga whales from the Sea of Okhotsk for human entertainment is destroying these populations and breaking up families. They are being killed during capture Because of hunters carelessness & lack of knowledge. The transports, including traveling dolphinarium circuses are horrific and keep animals in filthy coffin like wooden crates in their own waste for days at a time. Orcas & belugas stay in strong family units for life & swim up to 100 miles a day & dive hundreds to thousands of miles at a time. Even the biggest pool can not compare to their natural life structures. These responses from President Putin's office & the Russian Federation Minister of Agricultures office is one step closer to ending these wild captures in Russian waters & opening a new way of thinking about orca & beluga whales by studying them in their wild habitat. Let's see what they do, how long they live, who they mate with. There's a goldmine of information in the sea of Okhotsk. We can find it if president Putin & the Russian Federation continue to have an open mind to what we have to say.
