No confirmation received still on the restrictions to Neale Drive

Further to our latest update where the community of Buntingford had got Highways and East Herts Council to agree to keeping both entrances open on Ermine Street, however, still opening Neale Drive. It was confirmed, in writing, that the discussion would be had with ALL concerned to confirm what restrictions were required to the road to keep the residents safe.

Jeff Jones has now changed this to say it will be monitored, which is not acceptable. The community will not monitor how many accidents or deaths before this is reviewed and concluded.

The community are suggesting a no to over 5 tonne lorries, coaches and buses, just like the High Street and other residential roads. This would mean keeping the lorries, coaches and buses on Ermine Street, the existing route they are using.

We are again writing to the MP who agreed to the discussion with Highways.
