An endangered Florida Key Deer died due to its entanglement with a rope.   It appears that the end of the rope was dragging behind the deer as it navigated a thickly wooded area.  This end became trapped between a rock and a tree stump.  The other end of the rope was looped around the deer's neck and antlers.  It appears that the deer panicked and wrapped itself tightly around a tree.  

This is the reason we are fighting for the removal of debris that becomes entangled in the deer.  Entanglements may lead to the Key Deer's painful death and needless suffering.
