UPDATE: WE HEARD FROM SPARTANBURG COUNTY PARKS & RECREATION!

I wanted to share an exciting update with everyone who has signed, shared, commented, and supported our effort to bring a public basketball court to the Boiling Springs community.
I received a phone call from Spartanburg County Parks & Recreation regarding our request. While there are still some logistical issues that would have to be worked through particularly parking and site considerations at Va-Du-Mar McMillan Park—the conversation was very encouraging.
Most importantly, I was asked to send over the information I have showing community support so that it can be presented at an upcoming capital improvement meeting.
THAT MEANS YOUR SIGNATURES MATTER.
We are approaching 250 signatures between our online and paper petitions, and now is NOT the time to slow down.
This is not an approval yet, and there is still work to do, but our community is being heard—and that's progress!

❤️ KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING
This has always been about more than just having somewhere to bounce a basketball. It's about giving our kids, families, and community another accessible place to play, exercise, connect, and be active.
Thank you to everyone who has helped us get this far. Let’s keep showing them just how strong the demand is—so when the time comes to ask whether our community wants and will use a basketball court, the answer is already loud and clear.
