Hi, everyone:
Thank you for holding our elected school board members accountable by signing our petition against hateful rhetoric. How ironic that today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day, a day when we remember how hate led to the murdering of MILLIONS of people. Here, we are, 80+ years later, still trying to eradicate this hate. Thank God we have each other.
If you would like to join us for the virtual Upper Perkiomen School Board meeting, it will take place on Thursday, Jan. 28th at 7:00 pm EST. All may attend, but only residents of the district are permitted to speak and pre-registration is required. Click here to register, view the agenda, and submit public comments by 5 pm: https://www.upsd.org/school-board/virtual-school-board-meetings
Finally, if you haven't caught the segment on Fox 29 Philly news, click here to watch a video of the piece. https://www.fox29.com/news/petition-calls-for-school-board-member-to-resign-following-retweet-about-dr-rachel-levine?fbclid=IwAR0yWjSekHAoiTqLg_ZftmrkKJggnjM8OXp-j8KWqTTRU7n7tOHYRyb3fsY
I'm so grateful that together we can model to our children what they so clearly deserve: the space to freely be themselves and learn in a world that exemplifies justice for all.
Warm regards,
Rabbi Jennifer Schlosberg, UPHS Class of 1998
