I’ve reached out again to Mark Halpin from the city today since I haven’t heard back since Jan 18th 2024. Here is my email today:

Hi Mark,

The last time I heard from you was January 18th. You did not reply to my last email about the timeline. We are now at the tail end of spring break in March 2+ months later. I would really appreciate an update on the status of the Hill Ave and 240th streetintersection. With the warm weather and kids returning to school after March Break/Easter as well as the increase in traffic and speeding in this area (especially after spring break and the school speed zone not being active) I am incredibly concerned about the safety of our students returning to school. 

Again for your reference, here is the petition with almost 600 signatures from residents in our neighborhood begging for the city to take this intersection seriously: https://www.change.org/p/upgrade-240th-street-at-hill-avenue-intersection
