Happy Friday animal advocates! I’m so excited to share the incredible video that Change.org did with me and The Humane League!! Check out the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uxgs46OLj34 Countless people can now learn about the campaign through this video and support us in asking The University of Michigan to divest from Roark Capital's cruel practices! I couldn’t have done it without your support - thank you!! Please help the campaign’s message spread as far as possible by taking the following actions to share the new video! 1) Comment on the University of Michigan’s Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/UniversityOfMichigan/ Use one of the examples below or write your own and comment on the latest post. Option #1: Why won’t the University of Michigan listen to its students and divest from Roark Capital? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uxgs46OLj34 Option #2: University of Michigan - please listen to the concerns of over 120 thousand people who are supporting this student’s petition! Divest from Roark! www.umichdivestfromcruelty.com Option #3: When is U of M going to address this issue? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uxgs46OLj34 Option #4: It’s time for the University of Michigan to divest from Roark Capital! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uxgs46OLj34 2) Call the University of Michigan Endowment Fund office. Call: 734-763-4163 Say, something like: (please leave a message if no one answers) Option #1: I’m calling in regards to a video I saw about a University of Michigan student who’s asking U of M to divest from Roark Capital. I hope the university listens to this student’s concerns and chooses to divest from Roark’s animal abuse. Option #2: It’s really disappointing that the University of Michigan has remained silent when over 120,000 people have signed a student’s petition urging U of M to divest from Roark’s animal cruelty. Please make the compassionate choice and divest from Roark! Option #3: Please listen to the concerns of University of Michigan students and the general public who are urging U of M to stop investing its endowment in Roark Capital! By investing in Roark, U of M is profiting from animal cruelty that no university should support. BONUS ACTION: Want to keep updated on online actions you can take to support the work of other activists fighting to end the abuses of factory farming?
