7 Cities across California ( Santa Barbara County, Monterey County, San Benito County, Mendocino County, Butte County, Alameda County and Beverly Hills, California) have successfully passed local bans or moratoriums on fracking in order to protect their homes/ ocean and pressured state officials to act. Update on 7/26/17 Santa Barbara is the first California City to pass resolution against offshore drilling. Way to go SB!!! Lets be the 8th County to say “NO” more drilling in your county. Lets say that San Luis Obispo County is a community not just a commodity for the oil industry.
