Firstly a very heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. While the end goal is still far, I wanted to share an update that USCIS made this week on their page titled “H1b Electronic Registrarion Process”. Adding an image of this update with this message.
There is an existing litigation with USCIS regarding massive fraud in previous years’ H1b lottery registration, which we assume might be the reason behind the addition of this section. (might even be this petition, we hope:))
This update on the USCIS website states that the lottery registration requires a new attestation under the penalty of perjury as quoted below
“I further certify that this registration (or these registrations) reflects a legitimate job offer and that I, or the organization on whose behalf this registration (or these registrations) is being submitted, have not worked with, or agreed to work with, another registrant, petitioner, agent, or other individual or entity to submit a registration to unfairly increase chances of selection for the beneficiary or beneficiaries in this submission.”
Addition of this attestation should surely add worry to those who intend/intended to misuse this year’s H1b lottery. Please continue sharing this petition until it reaches the attention of required individuals and organizations. This petition is not about where it started or any single case, but it’s ‘each and every one of you’ who understands the difference between what is right and wrong.
Thank you again for supporting the cause, we have just started.
