Prebendalism is embedded in Nigeria's structure.

Security power is in the hands of jihadists, bandits and kidnappers. Economic power is in the hands of politician looters. Health power is in the hands of the privileged. Educational power is in the hands of the moneyed. Nigeria is just an area on the map. Government is not truly nationwide. National identity is non-existent. There is no reason for the constituent nations to keep faith with Nigeria.
 
And Nigeria’s value to the world? ‘Peace keeping’ in Africa; since Congo 1960s. That is it! We Yoruba want more than that. We want to compete with the best in the world.
