Jul 11, 2016 — RFA: Chinese government decided to limit the population of Serta Larung Gar to 5000 only. This order came from President Xi and will put in action on July 26, 2016. Supporters of the institute and Khenpoes petitioned to change the rule but did not help. Many meditation cells and nuns as well as monks will be forced to leave the monastery like in 2003.
