Since May 2018 the Free Saudi Activists Coalition (ADHRB, Equality Now, CIVICUS, Gulf Center for Human Rights, ISHR, and Women’s March Global) has been advocating for the release of women human rights defenders (WHRDs) who were arrested in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi government has tortured and continues to silence WHRDs, murdered Jamal Khashoggi and lead the war in Yemen where thousands of civilians have been killed or injured and thousands of children are dying of hunger and disease. While we have been witnessing some positive reforms in the Kingdom, we believe these reforms are not enough as Saudi women who have been campaigning for years to end male guardianship are still in prison.

As global citizens, it is our duty to call on our governments to condemn the Saudi government’s heinous human rights abuses, and demand the immediate and unconditional release of Saudi activists.

Share this petition with your friends and family and ask them to sign on and demand the unconditional and immediate release of Saudi activists.
