Good afternoon everyone,
As most of you already know, HPU security has not enforced any policies regarding electric boards/bikes until the start of this semester. A few days ago, I was told by a security officer, who pulled me over while riding my board, that I had two options: he would confiscate my board till the end of the semester, write a report to Office of Student Life, and fine me solely for riding my board around campus; or allow me to leave my board in my car to take home. All the while, the security officer took a picture of my student id. This is unacceptable and security needs to become more professional in matters relating to electric commute vehicles.
I have already asked much from you, the petition signers, but these policies need to change. I ask you to share this message (and petition) to those you know that are supportive of this movement. Thank you and have an extraordinary day!
