So pleased an MP has had the guts to take on a Police force and expose what we all say happens regularly. The Police trying anything to obstruct people having their complaints investigated and if they do investigate, it's investigated by the force. They don't want misconduct found out in their force, so many times have I heard 'Out of time' 'lessons learnt' 'local resolution' 'doesn't amount to misconduct' When the Police are accused of failing they need to be investigated independently and for anyone who whines on about there already is an independent body; the IOPC, this is another case to prove they do not act. 6,000 people are not going to sign if there was already a fit for purpose independent body in place they would of used it and so would we! And here's a surprise; the Police said this about the officer of their own force 'West Yorkshire Police said "no misconduct was identified" on the part of the detective.'
