We handed in damning evidence to Operation Fervent of Lancashire police this is supposed to work with Operation Hydrant. We had obtained evidence via a private investigator and expert witness that one of the key witnesses in a CSA case (where an 8 yr old child was raped by his stepfather and threatened to be killed if he told his mother) was lying allowing the abuser to walk free. We contacted the police on numerous occasions but they failed to respond. Eventually they rang a third party and we received the news via her that they were not going to investigate. They believed that it was nothing to do with them even though we and the accused live in Lancashire and this is a national crisis and they work alongside the Iicsa. They showed NO empathy towards the child or parent of the child, although in a email dated 3rd July 2017 they admitted they had contacted the parent of the abused child in October and offered help and support if required. Lancashire police tried to pass the investigating off to another force, which is currently under judicial review for the collapse of the case or incredibly said contact the childs solicitor inplying it was her job. On Friday 30th June we received this email form David Groombridge: 'The papers which you handed in at Lancaster Police Station are currently in an envelope marked for your attention at Lancaster Police Station and are available for you to collect at any time the enquiry desk is open.' We attended the police station on the 3rd July to pick the evidence up as we had told them we were handing the evidence in to Operation Hydrant and informing them that Lancashire police refused to investigate. When we arrived at the police desk after an hours journey we were told the evidence had been destroyed.
