The first wave of regulations have been in effect for a few days now, maybe you've noticed, maybe you haven't. This has never been the day the sky would fall, instead it's the day the fire was officially lit under the pot of water that the vapers and the vaping industry are sitting in, and if we don't extinguish that fire, we will be boiling.
So, what went into effect?
1. Vapor products are now tobacco products.
2. No sales to persons under 18(or older depending on state legislation).
3. Age verification online.
4. No new products. Anything that was not on the market by 8/8/2016 must now go through the PMTA application process BEFORE it can be marketed.
5. No modification of products. Want a flavor boost? Sorry, that would be a NEW product.
6. No FREE samples. So, taste testing in stores, no longer free.
7. No modified risk claims. Vendors can no longer tell you that vaping is safer than smoking, even if it's the truth.
