The US government is not telling the public the truth about Light Emitting Diode visible radiation.  Whether the LEDs are used for vehicle headlights or the light bulbs in your home, the issue is the same.  LEDs emit hazardous visible radiation and they have never been vetted or approved by the Food and Drug Administration.  

In the case of the incandescent light bulb ban, the Department of Energy falsely claims that there is no difference between the light emitted by an LED and an incandescent and that there are no adverse health effects from LED light.  These statements could not be further from the truth, and the DOE has violated our civil rights by forcing us to buy hazardous LED visible radiation devices to light our homes.

For LED headlights, LED Daytime Running Lights, LED tail lights, and LED brake lights, the issue is similar.  Neither NHTSA nor the FDA has published performance standards that are specific for LED products and thus all LED emitters on a vehicle are entirely unregulated, creating unsafe vehicles.

We are nearing 50,000 signatures for this petition.  Thank you helping to share and publicize this issue.
