I hope this update finds you well on this American Thanksgiving Day.  I am writing to you because today marks a special event in our cause to ban blinding LED headlights.  After years of research, we have concluded that Light Emitting Diodes are misnamed.  LEDs do not emit light.  LEDs emit visible radiation, but not light.

The reason that you feel attacked by LED headlights is because the visible radiation is not light.  LED radiation is unregulated, toxic, hazardous, and discriminatory.  NHTSA FMVSS-108 regulates light, not LED visible radiation.  LED visible radiation is a substance that your eyes and nerves are not designed for.

The Soft Lights Foundation has formally notified NHTSA that LED headlights do not comply with federal regulations and we have asked for an investigation.  http://www.softlights.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/NHTSA.pdf

As we move forward, we will be demanding that NHTSA regulate LED visible radiation separately from the FMVSS-108 whish was written to regulate the subset of visible radiation called light.
