Our efforts to halt construction of the Sabal Trail Pipeline are gathering momentum. But we are also running out of time. The pipeline could be pumping a billion cubic feet of fracked gas a day through Florida’s wetlands as early as this summer -- putting in danger the Upper Floridan Aquifer, an ecologically crucial region and the source of 60 percent of our state’s drinking water. Please donate what you can to help us stop the Sabal Trail Pipeline before it’s too late. Your contribution will help us hold a series of public forums to raise awareness of the dangers of pipelines like the Sabal Trail, with the first forum kicking-off on May 23rd in Hollywood Beach, Florida. Here’s the link to donate: http://bit.ly/2oYSPvL. We hope these public forums on the Sabal Trail Pipeline will attract needed media attention and spur grassroots activists into taking immediate action, for example, by calling and writing letters to members of Congress and other public officials, signing petitions, and sending letters-to-the-editor to local newspapers. We will need resources to pay for the venues, help with speakers, and transport people to these forums. Time is running out. If we fail to stop the Sabal Trail Pipeline, the entire state of Florida may look like Flint, Michigan in the not-too-distant future. Please donate generously before May 1st: http://bit.ly/2oYSPvL Thank you for your support! Together we will keep fighting against the fossil fuel industry, fracking and pipelines, and we will keep working for a sustainable future based on solar and other renewable energy sources. Tim
