Update on Award Wagatwe Wanjuki an Honorary Degree

Hi everyone! I want to take a second to thank the 1,248 (and counting!) signatories of this petition! It is humbling as a survivor and activist to see this kind of support and solidarity for my friend and inspiration, Wagatwe. Today we even made it to Jezebel (http://jezebel.com/tufts-students-nominate-sexual-assault-activist-for-hon-1636921532/all)! Today, Tufts University President Anthony Monaco commented, seen in the image attached. What this means, simply put, is that Tufts still is sidestepping this issue and refusing to comment about Wagatwe's chances, but at the very least she is in consideration. What does this mean for the campaign moving forward? Simply put, keep sharing, signing, and speaking up! Now is the time to keep the pressure on Tufts, and make sure they hear our voices and give Wagatwe a sliver of what she deserves from this institution.
