Good morning #LookUp'pers
As you may be aware already I attended the State of London debate last night where I asked the Mayor if he would support the campaign and also use the full weight of his office to ensure it was implemented by TfL. He said yes, immediately, which threw me a little...and has promised to be in touch about the timeline to have it implemented.
This is a HUGE victory for the campaign but it's not over yet. Not until those announcements are running on every bus and tube and tram every day. So we plough on with the petition and I plough on nagging you to reshare and retweet.
I emailed the clip to TfL this morning and received a very positive email back from them.
"Fantastic! Thanks for sending through.
We're making good progress here and I've now personally had two good sessions with our head of LU Customer Experience, who is totally supportive and onboard.
We've now got to get some things worked out internally, and figure out how we can do this with the most impact. I promise I'll come back to you to update you"
Everything is moving in the right direction...and quickly.
I will continue to push for national coverage and uptake of the campaign, this will be much easier to achieve when TfL adopt the system.
Some tube drivers have already taken matters into their own hands with someone telling me that on the district line yesterday the driver was making the announcement at every station.
Please continue supporting, sharing, RT'ing, shouting, screaming and Looking Up.
Thank you so, so much for the support so far. It wouldn't be where it is without you.
