Dear Playground Supporters!
Our fight is nearly over – but we need your help for a FINAL PUSH RIGHT NOW!
Council votes tonight - FOR or AGAINST the additional play equipment and there are still no guarantees.
Following the consultation, a recommendation has been put forward for additional play equipment including trampoline, four-way rocker, slide with climbing net, nature steppers and line marketing details.
This is a great win – however it is not over until it is voted on tonight.
You’ve come this far with us – please help us get this across the line and email the councillor’s before 5pm today at councillors@yarracity.vic.gov.au
Key points that would be great for you to include:
- Request that councillors endorse the recommendation for additional play equipment
- Ammend the motion to include a timeframe that works are to be completed by end of August, noting we have gone without a playground for nearly 18 months already
- Request inclusion of the four square line marking per the consultation options, but removed in the recommendation
- Inclusion of a ladder to the slide, as well as the climbing ropes shown in the image but not listed in the recommendation, to ensure greater accessibility.
