I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth in 1951 at the foot of Table Mountain, in District Six, Cape Town. My parents and grandparents were ordinary working class people and most of them were in the construction industry, building homes, factories and multi-storeyed buildings in Cape Town since 1939. So I come from a tough Cape Town family stock, with strongly built men with callous hands who worked and played hard, and who walked fearlessly in the streets of Cape Town. My grandfather was a pastor and had his church in District Six, which was also demolished by the previous apartheid government. As a born-again Christian, and a committed pastor, I bear no malice or hatred in my heart against any ethnic group in South Africa, despite the suffering that we endured as a result of ruthless politicians. We may have different cultures, languages, beliefs or political persuasions, but we are all created in the image of God, to live at peace with God and the rest of the world. My greatest desire is to see our country, South Africa, and all ethnic groups flourish and live in peace with each other. This is the ideal. But our real world is very different to my ideal one . I can remain in my church preaching, praying and doing Bible study and counseling my congregants regularly. But God has created me to be an activist for Him; to be active in my community, to care about their suffering and their pain and also to love my other South African brothers and sisters, irrespective of race, colour or creed. But I cannot help my own people by promoting violence, murder, and theft against another God-fearing ethnic group in South Africa. That I will not do, and I will resist those who are on a road to destruction and who are misleading others to follow them on a road to hell. I cannot, and will not sit still with my hands folded and do nothing while innocent women, children and the elderly get slaughtered on their farms and in our townships on a daily basis. I will not allow power-seeking radicals who mislead our youth and powerless, gullible, unemployed people to go on a rampage to kill and destroy everything in their pathway in the name of ‘freedom and so-called justice’. And this is why I am part of a campaign to STOP THE FARM MURDERS, not forgetting that my resistance against gang-related murder in our own Cape Town townships is not forgotten and our struggle against that continues every day. I am a child of Africa, born and bred in District Six, at the foothills of Table Mountain; my destiny is here in the townships of Cape Town. I will not run away from any devil that blasphemes my Lord, denigrates other ethnic groups and who comes to us like a roaring lion to mislead my people to steal land. Here I stand, I can do no other. As a Christian activist and a pastor, I will not rest until God calls me home. My duty is here in my motherland to protect and defend the most vulnerable, the outcasts and the rejects of society. CONCLUSION: So my good petition friends, as you can see, like South Africa, with its Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE), the poor are not benefitting at all. In Zimbabwe, Mugabe, and his cabinet members and all the well-connected politicians and civil servants, did not take the land to re-distribute to the poor, who got nothing. They stole the land from the farmers who owned them legally, and they took them for their own self-enrichment in the name of LAND RE-DISTRIBUTION. Very few of them produced food which resulted in several years of famine. If we do not resist this LAND GRABBING South African Zuma regime, who adopted the Zimbabwean model, the exact same plan will be implemented in our motherland. BLACK FIRST LAND FIRST (BLF) - Led by Andile Mngxitama, a disciple of the deposed Robert Mugabe, a very violent racist and a former EFF leader, who could not topple Julius Malema by means of a palace revolution and decided to start his own radical, violent, fly-by-night group of the LOONY LEFT, makes the laughable statement that ‘black people cannot be racist.’ That statement in itself is a racist statement because any normal, thinking adult person must know that all human beings have the potential to be racists. He is either naïve, mischievous or very delusional.
