Sadly, I am closing the petition calling for the release of Roman Protasevich and Sofia Sapega.

When I started this petition, I had high hopes that it would go viral and succeed in bringing about the release of Roman & Sofia.  Despite a promising start, the petition stalled after a couple of weeks with the number of signatures slowing right down.  There has been no news of Roman or Sofia since they were released and placed under house arrest.

There have been no signatures added in the last week, and the chances of us reaching any meaningful number are now so remote that I have taken the decision today to close the petition.

I am sure that you will all be keeping Roman and Sofia in your thoughts.

Thank you all for your support and I am so sad that on this occassion, I failed to garner enough interest.
