Thank you to everyone who signed this petition!  Acid violence continues to be a big problem in Uganda.  Despite the passage of a Toxic Chemicals and Prohibition Act in 2016, little has changed in the regulation and sale of acid in Uganda (it remains widely available on the market and easy to obtain) and perpetrators are rarely convicted.  

That is why we are calling for a new and comprehensive law related to the use of acid as a weapon of violence in Uganda.  Hear from Director of Hope Care Rescue Mission, Linneti Kirungi, and please sign our new petition here!
