We are living in a time where anti-Muslim sentiment is increasing. History shows that when hostility is normalised toward one community, it rarely stops there. It begins with one group and then spreads to others. This is not only a Muslim issue — it is about protecting all immigrant communities and preserving social cohesion in Australia.
Populist politicians often try to divide communities to win votes. Division creates fear, and fear can be politically profitable. While Chris Minns is not known as a divisive figure, he must apologise for the actions of police in attacking peaceful worshippers at the protest. Failing to address this sets a dangerous precedent. Accountability strengthens leadership — silence weakens trust.
We are asking for something simple: acknowledgement, responsibility, and reassurance that peaceful worshippers will not be treated this way again.
Please sign if you haven’t already.
Please share widely.
Let’s keep growing — respectfully, firmly, and together.
