On what would’ve been Robert J. Dole’s 102nd birthday, the Senate advanced the Major Richard Star Act — a long-overdue reform for combat-injured veterans who didn’t live to see justice.

My father, Sgt. Richard Andrew Conn, was another veteran who never got the care or compensation he earned. The Conn Act picks up where the Star Act leaves off — fixing the system failures, misdiagnoses, and delayed referrals that still haunt thousands of families.
