Hi everyone - The Shrine still stands! We want to thank you so much for all of your support. Some of you have donated to our fund, some have attended a meeting or distributed leaflets and all of you have signed this petition, which passed 1,000 signatures last weekend. We are so grateful to the Shrine congregation community and the Woodlawn community members who are supporting this effort, but we also thank all of you from beyond this neighborhood and congregation. We believe it matters very much that this many people are watching, hoping, praying, and acting in whatever way you can with us. There are many more things to do than just signing here, so visit our website to learn more. You can get texts that will alert you to the conditions at the Shrine, you can call the Archdiocese and the local alderman (city council representative), and you can add your comments and support there as well. You can also join our mailing list, where we will send out occasional updates. We have posted some of the comments from this page to the website, too, so take a look and let us know if you want your comments added.
