North West Patch-Community Garden - Exciting times ahead! And please help with our survey.

Hello Followers of North West Patch, My apologies there have been no updates until now. The cogs have been slowly turning in the background and I’m quite excited to announce a few things that are happening! Firstly we now have an online survey for the community garden! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/nwpatch It is a very important component to our proposal to Melbourne city council that we have community engagement. The more people who fill it out the more the council will see how serious we are about a community garden, it only takes 2 minutes of your time, it’s a quick one! If you know anyone who would like to fill out a survey but does not have access to the internet, we have hard copies and a submission box at North Melbourne Library (on Errol St). Secondly, we have a workshop and talk coming up in September. We have some very exciting speakers coming along to get us enthusiastic about the prospect of what we can do as a community with our garden. I can let the cat out of the bag in the coming weeks regarding this! You’ll also have the opportunity to have a say in how the garden might turn out. For the meantime put the date in your diary: Tuesday September 20th, 7:30pm at The Bastow Institute. 603-615 Queensberry St, North Melbourne VIC 3051 (please enter from Union St). Thirdly we are going to be involved in the North Melbourne Spring Fling Festival on Sunday 16th October. You will find us at the North West Melbourne Association stall (outside the library). We’ll have a growing full scale planter box with lovely, thriving spring plants! We want to show people how easy it is to grow veggies in the city! We’ll also have some plants for sale to help fund-raise for North West Patch. Don’t forget to tell your friends to come down and check us out and buy some strawberries! That’s it for the meantime!
